Healthy Raw Milk Hot Chocolate

This delicious raw milk hot chocolate is made with real food ingredients, and has 30 grams of protein! It's rich, nourishing, and perfectly sweet.

Equipment

  • 1 Small saucepan
  • 1 Whisk
  • 1 hand frother optional
  • 1 measuring spoon

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups raw milk
  • 2 scoops chocolate collagen or 20 grams of protein
  • 2 heaping tbs raw cacao powder
  • 1-2 tbsp raw cream or half and half
  • 1 tbsp real maple syrup
  • 1 pastured egg yolk optional

Instructions
 

  • In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, combine fresh raw milk, cocoa powder, and chocolate collagen powder. Whisk to combine, and stir occasionally as it heats up.
  • While the milk is heating, in a large mug combine egg yolk, raw cream, and maple syrup. Using a whisk or a hand frother, combine the ingredients until they are nice and creamy. 
  • Once the hot chocolate has reached your desired temperature, pour the hot milk directly into your prepared mug.
  • Stir all the ingredients until everything is combined. 
  • Enjoy hot, with your favorite toppings!
