The Best Creamy Homemade Peach Ice Cream Recipe
This homemade peach ice cream recipe is the perfect summer treat. It is so incredibly creamy, and has the perfect peach flavor from real fresh peaches. It is truly the best peach ice cream and I bet you won’t be able to eat just one serving!

We recently got a large box of fresh palisade peaches courtesy of my in-laws. I might be biased, but these Colorado peaches are the absolute best peaches, there’s no question. They are huge, so juicy, and have the best flavor! I knew I needed to try a homemade ice cream recipe, and the result was everything I dreamed it would be.

Reasons To Love This Recipe
Tastes Like Summer – fresh, juicy peach flavor in every creamy bite. Tastes like summer in the best way! This dessert is so refreshing, creamy, and indulgent without being overly heavy.
Real, fresh ingredients – there is nothing artificial about this peach ice cream. Real fresh ingredients means real flavor that is rich and perfectly delicious.
Naturally sweetened – made with maple syrup instead of refined sugar, but you won’t be able to tell. I love to replace traditional sugar with maple syrup and raw honey because it’s a more natural way to make dessert without eating processed sugar.
Customizable – top with fresh peach chunks (or other fresh fruit), drizzle with honey, or add a sprinkle homemade graham crackers on top.
Kid-friendly & family-approved – this is a healthier take on ice cream, but everyone will love it.

Ingredients in Homemade Peach Ice Cream
The best desserts are are easy to make and use simple ingredients, if you ask me! This fresh peach ice cream checks both boxes.
Fresh Ripe Peaches – This is the secret to the best real peach flavor. If you don’t have fresh peaches, frozen ones will work too but the flavor won’t be quite the same. Make sure you have an extra fresh peach to cut up on top of your ice cream, that really seals the deal.
Heavy cream – Heavy whipping cream will make this ice cream really creamy and delicious. Get the good stuff for the best ice cream – I prefer to buy grass-fed organic heavy whipping cream, or raw cream from a local farm.
Whole milk – I always use raw whole milk in my ice cream. If you don’t have raw milk, the next best option would be grass-fed whole milk.
Fresh Egg yolks – Egg yolks give this ice cream a creamy, custard-like texture. If consuming raw egg yolks isn’t for you, you can leave them out. I always like to include egg yolks because of the texture it adds to my homemade ice cream. If you are concerned about the safety of consuming raw egg yolks, you can rest assured that the risk of salmonella is incredibly low, and even lower if the eggs come from healthy pastured chickens (source). Know where your eggs come from, and you don’t need to worry.
Maple syrup – real maple syrup sweetens this ice cream perfectly. No refined sugar needed! Raw honey is also delicious although I prefer maple syrup in this peach ice cream recipe.
Vanilla extract – The flavor of this ice cream recipe really comes together with some real vanilla extract.
Other Supplies You Will Need
- Ice Cream Maker – Ice cream makers create that slow churn ice cream that we all love. You can use a kitchen aid attachment or an actual ice cream machine.
- Blender or food processor – A blender allows you to mix everything together really well before adding it to your ice cream maker
- Knife
- Ice Cream Scoop
Tip: If using the kitchen aid attachment, make sure that the freezer bowl has been in the coldest part of your freezer for at least 48 hours, preferably 72 hours before making ice cream. If it isn’t cold enough, your ice cream won’t set up right. I learned this the hard way!

How To Make The Creamiest Homemade Peach Ice Cream
Step 1: Wash the peaches and remove the pits. Cut them into large chunks.
Step 2: Add the chopped peaches and 1/2 cup of the milk to the blender. Blend until the peaches are mostly puréed, some small chunks are ok.

Step 3: Add the rest of the ice cream ingredients to the pureed peaches, and blend everything together until just combined. Don’t blend them too much or you might end up with whipped cream.
Step 4: Add the ice cream mixture to your ice cream machine, and turn it on. Slow churn the ice cream according to your machine instructions. If you are using a kitchen aid, turn it on to the lowest setting.
Step 5: Allow the ice cream maker to do it’s thing until the ice cream is really creamy. Depending on what machine you are using, this should take 15-25 minutes.

Step 6: Serve immediately with fresh sliced peaches on top. If you are using a kitchen aid mixer, this is more of a soft-serve consistency ice cream. If you want something a little more firm, put it in the freezer for 15-20 minutes before serving.

Why We Love Fresh Peaches (Especially In Season)
There’s something really natural and life giving to eat with the seasons. Peaches are rich in vitamin C (great for your skin and immune system), potassium (supports hydration and heart health), and fiber (aids digestion). Plus, peaches are full of antioxidants that help fight inflammation.
Eating peaches in peak season (usually mid-to-late summer) means you’re getting the best flavor and maximum nutrition. And what better way to enjoy fresh summer peaches than in a creamy homemade peach ice cream? That’s seasonal eating at its best!

Storing Leftover Ice Cream
Store leftover ice cream in a freezer-safe container. I like to put mine in a glass Tupperware. When enjoying leftovers, let it sit out on the counter for 5-10 minutes to make it easier to scoop.
