Why You Will Love This Peanut Butter Granola Recipe
A Fast & Easy Recipe – This easy peanut butter granola recipe only takes about 10 minutes to mix up (plus baking time).
A Big Batch – Make a big batch that you can enjoy throughout the week. Easy to pull out for breakfast, or a peanut butter snack.
Much Healthier Than Store-Bought – Many store-bought granola brands have lots of added sugar, and many also have unhealthy seed oils. Making your own granola at home is an easy way to know exactly what ingredients you are using.
Customizable – Granola is one of those recipes that is hard to mess up. You can easily use your favorite add-ins and customize it how you want.

The Problem With Store Bought Granola
Take a look at the ingredients in this popular brand of granola:
WHOLE GRAIN ROLLED OATS, CANE SUGAR, SOY PROTEIN CRISP (SOY PROTEIN ISOLATE, RICE STARCH), RICE FLOUR, CORN SYRUP, PEANUTS, PEANUT BUTTER, CANOLA OIL, HONEY, MOLASSES, SEA SALT.
Canola oil, and corn syrup are both concerning ingredients and not at all necessary in granola. This homemade version uses coconut oil, honey, and no artificial flavoring.
Ingredients For Peanut Butter Granola
For this recipe you will need just a few simple ingredients:
- Organic rolled oats (or old fashioned oats) – oats are something I always try to buy organic to avoid glyphosate
- Sliced almonds (Or your favorite nuts)
- Peanuts – these really add a delicious extra crunch
- Unsweetened coconut flakes
- Cinnamon
- Salt – unrefined salt is my go-to, I love redmonds real salt
- Natural Peanut Butter – I like to use crunchy peanut butter, but creamy peanut butter will work great too. Watch out for sneaky hydrogenated oils listed as an ingredient in most peanut butter.
- Raw Honey – Or, real maple syrup is a great substitute
- Coconut Oil – a great alternative to unhealthy oils that are often used in the store version

Other Supplies You Will Need
- Large mixing bowl
- Unbleached parchment paper
- Large baking sheet or cookie sheet
- Large wooden spoon
- Small saucepan
How To Make Peanut Butter Granola
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 300. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside so it’s ready to go.
Step 2: In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, combine the peanut butter, coconut oil, and raw honey. Stir them occasionally while they melt.
Step 3: Meanwhile, in a large bowl, mix all of the dry ingredients together. Oats, peanuts & almonds, coconut flakes, cinnamon and salt.

Step 4: Once the peanut butter mixture is melted and smooth, add it into the dry ingredients and mix everything together.
Step 5: Spread the granola out on the prepared baking sheet.
Step 6: Bake the granola for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes until it is golden brown.
Let the granola cool completely on the baking sheet – that’s how you get nice crispy clusters.

Step 7: Store granola in an airtight container or glass jar. At room temperature the granola will stay good for 2-4 weeks. Or, you can freeze it for up to 3 months.
